Synopsis:
This is the story of the life of a young boy with a deformed face who has a wonderful family and awesome friends. His sister's name is Olivia and she is always nice to August. His family and friends are used to the way he looks, so they don't freak out when they see him. August had 27 surgeries. Still, he looks like somebody from another planet. Nobody thinks of him as unique, but as a freak. He goes through the hardest and scariest part of his life - Middle school. With a principal named Mr.Tushman and friendly teachers, this year could be good. But that's only the start, there are bullies and people who avoid him because of his face, but some can be friends too. With the help of his new and old friends, he completes fifth grade and becomes the wonder he wanted to be. Read to find out how his life turned out to be.

Why I liked the book - I liked it because the story was interesting and it explained about a new lifestyle.
